Halliburton held their annual golf tournament on May 12, 2006, raising money for local charities. PAWS Houston was recognized by Halliburton for the programs and services that PAWS Houston offers. PAWS Houston received a $25,000.00 donation to help further the "Hospital Personal Pet Visitation Program" and funding for client services.

FACTS:

• In 2005, Halliburton donated $9.5 million in sponsorships and in-kind donations to help more than 150 non-profit organizations and charities in the Houston area. The company’s worldwide contributions exceeded $143 million in 2005!
• Halliburton employees volunteered more than 50,000 hours during 2005. In Houston, Halliburton employees coordinated more than 70 events to help local non-profit organizations and charities.
• Halliburton employs 12,000 people in the Houston area (approximately 100,000 worldwide in more than 100 countries). Each year, the company contributes about $800 million to the local economy through its Houston-area payroll.

HOUSTON, Texas -- Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) took to the greens for the 13th year to help raise money in support of local charities. The Tournament®, the company’s annual golf event, has raised more than $2 million in donations to benefit more than 35 local non-profit charities. One hundred percent of all proceeds from each year’s event are directly provided to charities.

Benefactors from this year’s event include Bering Omega Community Services, CanCare of Houston, Inc., Courtney’s Crusade, Fund for Teachers, Houston READ Commission, Keep Houston Beautiful, LIFE/Houston, Medical Bridges, The Nature Conservancy, Odyssey House Texas, PAWS Houston, Project C.U.R.E. and Yellowstone Academy.
