Company-sponsored community golf tournament raises over $600,000 to help area non-profits
PAWS HOUSTON RECOGNIZED BY HALLIBURTON
Halliburton held their annual golf tournament on May 12, 2006, raising money for local charities. PAWS Houston was recognized by Halliburton for the programs and services that PAWS Houston offers. PAWS Houston received a $25,000.00 donation to help further the "Hospital Personal Pet Visitation Program" and funding for client services.

HOUSTON, Texas -- Halliburton (NYSE: HAL) took to the greens for the 13th year to help raise money in support of local charities. The Tournament®, the company’s annual golf event, has raised more than $2 million in donations to benefit more than 35 local non-profit charities. One hundred percent of all proceeds from each year’s event are directly provided to charities.
“This is a great example of Halliburton’s dedication to our hometown community,” said Dave Lesar, Halliburton Chairman, President and Chief Executive Officer. “We’re proud to call Houston home and we’re happy to offer the company’s ‘energy to help’ to assist local non-profit agencies.”
Benefactors from this year’s event include Bering Omega Community Services, CanCare of Houston, Inc., Courtney’s Crusade, Fund for Teachers, Houston READ Commission, Keep Houston Beautiful, LIFE/Houston, Medical Bridges, The Nature Conservancy, Odyssey House Texas, PAWS Houston, Project C.U.R.E. and Yellowstone Academy.
