The Fourth Graders at Bear Creek Elementary choose PAWS Houston to receive funds from money collected through the school year. The Fourth Graders operated a "School Store" throughout the school year where they sold school supplies and some novelty items to the entire school. Fourth Graders work and man the School Store with the help of PTA representatives/parent volunteers on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday mornings from 7:45 a.m.-8:10 a.m. All of the proceeds earned through the school year are then divided up among three charities of the children's choice. The children then brainstorm and come up with the list of charities and vote for the top three. Last May, on the last day of school, the fourth graders donated $664.14 to PAWS Houston. WAY TO GO! This project helps the children learn the value of community support and allows them to learn more about local charities. Without the support of every at Bear Creek Elementary, the school store would not be a success.

PAWS Houston would like to thank the Fourth Graders at Bear Creek for working to raise funds to support PAWS Houston's programs and clients.

Thanks to everyone at Bear Creek Elementary.
